Most Useful for the "Ordinary" Scholar

Stephen M. Davidson's insight into the health care system is extremely useful for the "ordinary" scholar. By that I mean if you are interested in health care reform, you are considered a scholar, and by "ordinary" I mean that you have no prior knowledge of viable reform options.
In his book, Davidson highlights the biggest problems facing the U.S. health care system and the reasons why they exist. He proposes six key changes that are needed to refashion the current system into effective universal coverage that makes health care affordable, efficient, and of the highest quality. Developing his argument by acknowledging critics, Stephen gives insightful answers to each allowing the reader to understand why his points make the most sense. Some still may believe that there are alternate ways to approach reform and Davidson makes note of further alternatives and criticisms so that the reader may generally understand why they will not work effectively, or perhaps why a combination of his and others' ideas may be viable.
I only rate the book 4-stars because it was only available for purchase after reform was passed by the Obama administration. I still believe that his book will provide many more citizens with insight into the system and how, despite reform, there are still ways to make progress and that patience is a must.
