Recently, my colleague friend asked me to review Janice Kim’s Book: To Live to Work. I did. Briefly, I found that it was a hodge-podge of information not seriously treated. It comprised of recycled fossilized information whose historical usefulness evaporated with the times and now relegated to the doldrums. Obviously, she painfully collected information, here and there, and incoherently presented it to readers. It seriously lacked any in depth synthesis, analyses, and recommendations. Good research significantly and conspicuously contributes to new knowledge, which is the bedrock of serious research. In this, the book failed.
